Fine Rates

Overdue Items

There is a three day grace period from the date books are due until overdue fines are charged.

Overdue fines for library books are 20 cents per day. On the fourth day after the grace period the fine is 80 cents. Each day after that the fine is increased 20 cents. Overdue fines for audio-visual materials are 20 cents per day. There is no grace period for audio-visual materials.

Fines are not charged on days the library is closed. All library bills must be paid at the Circulation Desk by cash or check only.

Lost Items

If you lose something that you've checked out, please notify Karen Jurasek immediately. Charges for lost books or audio-visual items include the replacement price for the item, a processing fee, and any late fees incurred if the item was overdue when reported lost.

Renewals

Books and audio-visuals items may be renewed at the Circulation Desk or by telephone (271-2111). Items cannot be renewed if they have been requested by another patron.
